Indian cricket team has got better off their Australian counterparts in the opening two tests of the 4 test match series. Still, the controversy regarding whether KL Rahul deserves a spot in the team is still ongoing.
The recent addition in the debate is a tweet from former Indian spin wizard, Harbhajan singh. In one of his Youtube videos, Bhajji has backed Rahul for his dismal run in the test cricket. “The athlete and his family are the first to feel bad if a player performs poorly. All of us adore those cricket players. Your rage is obvious if you love those cricketers. Don’t go overboard, though, as that could harm the player’s mentality “Harbhajan said in the video posted on his Youtube account.
“What would you have done if KL Rahul had been in your shoes? Do you believe that he is not attempting to score runs? He has been an excellent athlete for India and will succeed “Harbhajan furthered.
“We all share our views on social media, which is fine because it’s our opinion, but please refrain from attacking him. He is striving to do well, but he is also human. I kindly ask all of you who have played to attempt and view this from that angle.”
“If the cricketer is not performing he himself will make way for the other cricketer. Please do give time to KL Rahul he is our own player. We need to respect our players if we cannot do it how will it work?”
“My suggestion is- during these times instead of criticizing , let us support him which will be good for him and us too as his admirers.
Bhajji takes a dig on Former cricketers Prasad and Akash chopra clashing on KL Rahul issue
During this video, Harbhajan Singh also takes a dig on former cricketers Venkatesh Prasad and Akash chopra who have clashed on social media over KL Rahul’s recent form. While Venkatesh slammed selectors for continuously backing KL despite of his dismal run, Akash Chopra came to Rahul’s rescue.
While putting his perspective about the same controversy, Bhajji urged everyone to stay away from bashing our own cricketers in wide open. We must mention that Venkatesh Prasad, who is also the former bowling coach of the Indian team, came to twitter to express his frustration with complete ignorance of Rahul’s bad form by the Indian team selectors.
In return, another former cricketer-turned- commentator Aakash Chopra clashed with Prasad while supporting KL Rahul. Moreover, he even invited Prasad for an open debate on his Youtube channel. While Prasad is yet to respond, these debates are spicing up things before the third test in Indore.
Whether KL will be selected for the third test against Australia in Indore is yet to be seen. Till then, we will keep bringing you all the updates in the same regards right here. Stay tuned and keep bringing your say in the comments section.
