Butler, Salt and Jacks amongst the key English players leaving IPL 2024 midways

Key England players like Jos Butler, Will Jacks, Phil Salt and Reece Topley will head back to England’s T20 world cup squad with immediate effect to report for the national duties. The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is just around the corner and most of the teams have started preparing for the biggest tournament in T20 history. In order to keep up with it, most of the players playing in IPL 2024 are heading back to their National squads to take part in the pre- world Cup preparations. As of now, the list of England players leaving their IPL 2024 franchise includes Jose Butler, Will Jacks, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Johhny Bairstow, Sam Curran, Phil Salt and Reece Topley.

This would come as a huge setback for teams like Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. While Punjab Kings are already out of the playoffs race, RCb is still making the most of their playoff chances. This is where Will Jacks had a huge role to play in their recent wins that does include a magnificent century against Gujarat Titans. So, they have to find a perfect replacement for the English all-rounder in their last match against CSK. Well, we can say that his exit may come as a blessing in disguise for the Australian player Glenn Maxwell who is struggling with a rough patch in the IPL 2024.

KKR and Rajasthan Royals may struggle with their Opening slots

KKR and Rajasthan Royals will also struggle to find the right replacement for their outgoing English players in the IPL 2024. Phil Salt has played a huge role along with Sunil Narine in those blistering starts during the power plays in the recent IPL 2024 matches. So, his absence will leave a huge void in the opening spot for the KKR IPL squad. Rajasthan royals, on the other side, will deal with the same issue as Jos butler will be missed during their challenge for the playoff race and journey beyond that.

In their absence, players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz( KKR) and Tom Kohler Cadmore( RR) may start for their respective teams. Well, we will keep you posted with all the updates right here, so stay tuned. Follow us on Twitter.
