It all started with the fiery knock by Kushall Malla that included 8 fours and 12 sixes. Not only that, he also broke the fastest T20I hundred records while getting into the triple figures in just 34 balls. While scoring at a strike rate of over 270, he stormed towards his century in no time.
Nepal started their innings in a calm manner with both the openers giving a steady start to their team. They lost their first wicket at the score of 42 runs with Aaasif Shaikh falling to the bowling of Davaasuren Jamyansuren.
The other opener Kushal bhurtel also didn’t give much trouble to the scorers while going back to the pavilion on the score of 19 runs. Still, it was the innings of Kushal Malla, Captain Rohit Paudel and Dipendra Singh Airee at the end, which gave some big wings to Nepal’s innings.
Dipendra Singh Airee rattled the fastest T20i Fifty record !
Dipendra Singh Airee only faced 10 balls in this match but turned out to be the most explosive batsman of all. Not only he scored a fifty out of just 9 balls, he also smashed the long standing record of fastest fifty by Indian legend Yuvraj Singh.
Surprisingly, Dipendra Singh Airee smashed 8 sixes out of those 10 balls which is simply unbelievable. Moreover, he didn’t score a boundary and neither a single run in his smash buckling innings. With this knock, Nepal cricket team has registered their name in the history books for some good reasons.
