The Indian squad for the T20 world cup 2024 has been announced by the BCCI here on Tuesday.While most of the squad has gone as per the expectations, the omission of Rinku Singh came as the biggest surprise.
Rohit Sharma will be the captain of the Indian men’s team for T20 world cup 2024 while Hardik pandya will serve the vice captain role. Also, Sanju Samson and Rishabh pant will be the two wicket keepers in the squad and we expect Rishabh pant to make it directly into the playing XI.
Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the innings along with Rohit Sharma with Kohli and Surya Kumar yadav following. Talking of the allrounder spot, Hardik pandya will share the responsibility with Shivam Dubey and Ravindra Jadeja. As far as the spin department is concerned, Chahal has made his entry into the spin trip with Kuldeep and Axar being the other two.
Also, Jasprit bumrah will share the pace department with Mohammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh. Many cricket experts are also surprised with the omission of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rinku Singh and Shubhman gill. Yet, we can say that this squad seems quite balanced and ready for the ICC T20 world cup 2024.
