While cricket was always his first love, Virat Kohli joined the famous West Delhi Cricket Academy during his school days. Well, that’s not it and he went on to become the first player from the academy to join the Delhi’s Ranji Squad in 2006. He scored 90 runs in that match and gained the attention of many around. Kohli excelled under the capable eyes of Rajkumar Sharma during his initial days at the West Delhi Cricket Academy. He made his debut in the 2002–03 Polly Umrigar Trophy while playing for the Delhi U-15 squad.
