India triumphed Afghan Challenge thanks to Rohit’s super knock!

And here the record couldn’t stand for even 24 hours as Rohit Sharma scored a magnificent century in just 63 balls that took India to their second victory in the cricket world cup 2023. While making it to his sparkling hundred, Indian captain Rohit Sharma also became the player with the most sixes in the ODI history. During the match against Afghanistan, he surpassed the record of West Indian legend Chris Gayle who got 553 sixes under his name.
Earlier during the day, Afghanistan chose to bat on a batting paradise at Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi. They lose two early wickets before middle order batters Shahidi and Omarzai rescued their innings with a century stand.
The team was looking to score big until Bumrah came back with a scintillating spell of fast bowling. Not only he scalped 4 wickets for just 39 runs, but also stopped Afghan team to score big on an easy wicket. From being 184 for 3 wickets in the 35th over, Afghanistan dropped to 235 for 7 in the 47th over given some tight bowling from the Indian bowlers.
With this win, India has gained momentum before that big clash against the arch rivals Pakistan on 14th October at Ahmadabad.
Shubman Gill on Recovery mode, reaches Ahmadabad!
While Indian team took on Afghanistan at the Arun jaitley stadium in their second match of the cricket world cup 2023. Indian batter Shubman gill reached Ahmadabad while being on recovery mode. The Punjab ranji player, suffering from dengue since few days, travelled to Ahmadabad from Chennai. Even though not fully recovered, Shubman gill is hopeful of showing up for the crucial match against Pakistan on 14th October.
As per reports, the officials from Tamil nadu cricket association confirmed that Shubman is fit to take a flight to Ahmadabad. Although he couldn’t be there on the flight to Delhi as his platelet count was still low.
Pakistan Team also reached Ahmadabad for the Big clash!
Amid tight security, the Pakistani team arrived at Ahmadabad hereon Wednesday. The team was stationed at Hyderabad for the past two weeks and finally took the flight Tuesday night. Upon their arrival, the team and the officials were briefed about their security arrangements.
Besides, the Pakistani team looked satisfied with the arrangements and went straight to their hotels from the airport. According to the reports, they will start practicing at the Narendra modi stadium on Thursday evening. Also, the Indian team is about to reach there by the Thursday afternoon.
Arijit singh , Amitabh Bacchan and Rajnikant to feature in the Ind-pak clash!
According to the reports, Indian –Pakistan match at Ahmadabad would feature a pre-match event. It would include names like Arijit singh. Also, Bollywood star Amitabh bacchan and Rajnikant are also expected to reach there. Everyone want to witness the biggest clash of the cricket world cup 2023.
On the other hand, we must mention that Cricket world cup 2023 didn’t witness any opening ceremony this time. While the details were not available for the reason behind, the pre-match event before ind-pak game could compensate a bit for that. Also, the ind-pak clash is surely going to witness a full house.
